The Curator (Interdisciplinary Initiatives) will contribute to advancing McIntosh Gallery's strategic plan by enhancing the gallery's integration with Western's academic community. Reporting to the director, and working collaboratively with the gallery team, the role provides curatorial leadership to help advance intersectional connections across the diverse disciplines and communities that converge at McIntosh Gallery.
This position will lead the development and delivery of dynamic, interdisciplinary and experiential learning programs. Fostering inclusive, meaningful, and lasting connections between the McIntosh Gallery, Western faculties and departments, Western staff, and its broader audiences including high-school students and the general public.
The ideal candidate has a Master's degree or higher in Art History, Visual Culture, Museum Studies, Curatorial Practice, Art Education or relevant discipline.
This is a 2 year temporary full time contract opportunity with a benefits package.
