Presented in collaboration with McIntosh Gallery, this London Ontario Media Arts Association (LOMAA) presentation of Frenkel Defects features workshops and screenings that evoke imperfect ideas of film and cinema. Frenkel Defects aims to disrupt and deform thoughts and feelings about the medium, providing an opening to new and unique sensations. Wavelengths and frequencies that briefly expose the mind and body to particles of light impart latent images within us. Please be warned that some films in the programme feature flashing light effects.
LOMAA is an emerging, enthusiastic and devoted non-profit artist run collective that fosters collaboration, investigation and innovation by tapping into local talent and serving the needs of media artists in the London region.
